We’ve gotten a lot of great donations for our Silent Auction, but there are two new ones that are worth pointing out.
Friends of SAFE have donated an O2Compost Micro-Bin Compost System Kit. This is a free-standing portable composting system that delivers air to the compost mix in your bin using an aeration blower and a cycle timer. The kit also includes a 20″ temperature probe and plans for building several styles of bins and lids. The kit (which does not include the materials for building the bins) retails for over $600.
"Greener Pastures"
Jewelry artist Judy Morgan of J Heather Designs has created a hand-crafted silver and gemstone necklace for our auction. “I titled the piece “Greener Pastures,” Morgan told us, “because all horses should have a great home where they are safe and happy to live their lives out. The Variscite stone represents the green pasture that should be obtainable to all horses, the smokey quartz represents the rich warmth and beauty of all horses, and the rutilated Quartz with the gold streaks represents how valuable and precious every horse’s life is.” This custom work of art necklace has a retail value of $375.
